The remarkably varied architecture of Los Angeles is inseparable from the cultural history and geography of the city - an illustration of the different phases of Modern and Postmodern architecture. Douglas Tallack is Pro Vice Chancellor (International) and Head of the College of Arts, Humanities and Law at the University of Leicester, where he is also Professor of American Studies.
